Valentine’s Day

It’s that sometimes-anticipated-by-couples-yet-often-dreaded-by-singles day of the year! In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, send an anonymous letter or bouquet of flowers to someone special to you-your mom, your recently-divorced best friend. This deliberate act of kindness will last long after the 14th as the memory lingers on.

PS: A really nice thing to do the night before Valentine’s Day is to offer to watch a friend or neighbor’s children so they can run errands or spend time with their significant other.

    Tell someone close to you how much you love them, even if you’re sure they already know.

Love Your Mother

    Mother's Day may be over, but it's never too late to keep celebrating. Make your mother feel special and loved by taking her out to lunch or a masked-up mani/pedi. For your friends who may have lost their mother, check in with them as it may have have been a hard day two days ago. Mother's Day is all about love, so spread it around far and wide going forward.

Human Rights Day

    

    Today presents an opportunity to celebrate human rights and advocate for equal human rights everywhere. As much as we like to think that the world is all sunshine and rainbows, that is not the truth; we should not be blind or ignorant of the truth. Today, make yourself aware of the injustices going on in the world by doing some research on the prejudices and hate that many people experience from others. Do what you can to help promote human rights today and everyday.
